The Mistake

A pyre was burning in the darkness. Every ember in the darkness looked like fireflies. Near the pyre four warriors sit. Old warrior monk Xu Jia meditates facing towards east. Freyr brings her spears to her breast. Themba the black stone warrior says “One of us one by one will be guarding each other.” Alfred the knight says “I’ll be the first one”. They all agreed.

When the dawn came, the bandits came along.  Themba woke up he takes his stone hammer and swings to the head of one of the bandits. Blood comes from the wound. Themba shouts “Xu Jia, Freyr, Alfred woke up we’re under attack.”

Freyr opens her eyes and stabs the spear to the heart of the man. Alfred wake up and takes the sword before he could attack he got a scratched on his eye. Xu Jia Uses his bamboo pole to trip the horse. The knight holds his sword and cuts bandit’s hand. When everything ended Xu Jia seeks Alfred’s wound. Xu Jia says “good thing is your wound is not grievous and I think you should rest.”

They stay for the day. Alfred says “It has been a long time since we got a contract. How are we going to stay?”

Xu Jia feels sad and says “my boy look at the sun, a sun never stay the same. One day it shines, one day it hides, One day dims. Today you think we’ve nothing but tomorrow we may’ve something maybe a contract.”

The four walked to the city of Xenaboria also known as city of white elves. We looked for contracts from the kings, from the locals but nothing everything was in vain.

After the war between human and war Orcs the magical beasts are diminishing, the dragons, the banshee and the orcs. They say humans won the war and after they won they hunted down every magical beast so that the world may be safe. But killing doesn’t make world safe. King Helgard ruler of human learnt his lesson in a hard way.

The wizard of Hekas and Mages of Fuhmont tried to save the magical beast but the mistake was done.

Today due to that mistake the four warriors roams aimlessly.

Suddenly a stranger comes and says “If you wanted a contract, I can give you one.”

Alfred asks “who are you?”

The stranger reveals himself as a frost werecat who is General Ababor came from the King Skalador.

Xu Jia calls Alfred in corner and says “I don’t think it’s a good idea to trust Ababor.”

Alfred says “we need this contract when we last time you sleep peacefully?”

Freyr joins in says “Alfred you must decide before…”

Before Freyr could complete Alfred said “fine, we’ll take the contract.”

Alfred comes to Ababor and said “what is the contract on?”

Ababor said “Our kingdom Noshaq has been captured by Camioth, the tyrant dragon. Our king had to escape. The dragon has become a tyrant. I want you all to eliminate the threat.”

Themba answered “yes we’ll”

They reached to the mountain Kingdom Noshaq. It took them 4 days to reach.

It was a small kingdom but a beautiful one.

They searched for the dragon. They ask the locals. But they say “King will be here soon.”

Xu Jia in between say “I don’t think the dragon is a tyrant. From the place I’ve come from dragon is a god’s messenger.”

Alfred said “The place I’ve come from says dragon was the doom for my village.”

Xu Jia says “Don’t judge a dragon by its scale Alfred. Think what you are doing.”

Suddenly there was sound of flapping of wings. The warriors see the dragon. It was white dragon the rarest.

Alfred rushes and stabs the sword to the heart.

After stabbing everyone was shocked. Alfred says to everyone “people of Noshaq you’re free from tyrant dragon your king Skalabur will return.”

The dragon says “you’re having been tricked young knight.”

One of local young maiden comes and says “you’ve been tricked by tyrant King Skalabur.”

When the dragon died, his body turns to snow and becomes the part with wind.

The inhabitant let the warriors go; they knew they made a mistake.

Xu Jia puts the hands on the knight as the sun goes down.
